Selular.ID – Telkomsel dan Ericsson sukses memperingati Hari Kemerdekaan RI ke-79, upacara pertama yang digelar di Ibu Kota Negara (IKN). Siaran ini menggunakan teknologi pemotongan jaringan milik sendiri yang menggunakan infrastruktur khusus 5G (SA) terbaru. Kemitraan ini merupakan cara strategis untuk menunjukkan kekuatan teknologi 5G dan jaringan terdepan SA untuk menghadirkan pengalaman digital terbaik dan andal bagi masyarakat Indonesia. Melalui pemotongan jaringan end-to-end dalam jaringan 5G khusus, lembaga penyiaran dapat memberikan layanan cepat dengan tingkat keamanan dan kualitas layanan yang tinggi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan penyiaran nasional. Teknologi network slicing memungkinkan Telkomsel mengoptimalkan efisiensi penggunaan sumber daya jaringan dan menghadirkan berbagai layanan dalam skala besar.

The 5G SA capability combined with network exposure, automation, edge computing, and network slicing has raised the bar for 5G services. This technology enables networks to be more flexible, enables data usage separation, and provides connectivity with guaranteed quality. In addition, Telkomsel plays a role in realizing Smart City in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) by utilizing 5G RAN and Dual-Mode 5G Core technology from Ericsson. Director of Resource Arrangement, Directorate General of Postal and Informatics Equipment Resources, Ministry of Communication and Information, Republic of Indonesia, Denny Setiawan said, "The collaboration between Telkomsel as an operator and Ericsson as a vendor involved in the 5G Standalone (5G SA) technology trial in IKN is a strategic step in line with the Ministry of Communication and Information's commitment to accelerate digital transformation in various industrial sectors in Indonesia. The Ministry of Communication and Information hopes that this initiative will support the government's vision in accelerating the development of digital infrastructure that will strengthen Indonesia's position as a country with an advanced digital economy. Through the 5G SA technology trial on the 700 MHz and 26 GHz frequency bands, we are optimistic that this technology will improve the quality of mobile broadband services and the development of smart city use cases in order to form a strong foundation for the advancement of Indonesia's digital ecosystem."
